November 2019 - PS20-15 Review Task Force recommendations approved by American Lumber Standard Committee Standing Committee

                     

January 2019 - Pacific Lumber Inspection Bureau (PLIB) and West Coast Lumber Inspection (WCLIB) announce merger.  PLIB granted rules-writing status in the Lumber Program in place of WCLIB.  WCLIB accredition in the WPM-Fumigation program transferred to PLIB.

                      - Pacific Lumber Inspection Bureau has voluntarily withdrawn its accreditation in the Pellet Program

                      - West Coast Lumber Inspection Bureau has voluntarily withdrawn its accreditation in the Pellet Program.

February 2018 - Continental Inspection (CI) has voluntarily withdrawn its accreditation in the Lumber Program and in the Wood Packaging Material (WPM) Program

                          - The Board of Review accredited AJ Edmonds Co., San Jose, CA as a laboratory in the Pellet Program

 November 2017 - Western Wood Products Association (WWPA) has voluntarily withdrawn their accreditation in the Pellet Program

 February 2017 - MVTL Laboratories has voluntarily withdrawn their accreditation as a laboratory in the Pellet Program

 January 2017 - Redwood Inspection Service has voluntarily withdrawn their accreditation in the Wood Packaging Material program.

                         - Carolina Inspection Service (CIS) has voluntarily withdrawn their accreditation in the Pellet Program

                          - The Northern Softwood Lumber Bureau (NSLB) has ceased operations by the end of 2016.  NSLB has transferred the use of its trademarks to the Northeastern Lumber Manufacturers Association (NeLMA).  For grade rules not already common to both NSLB and NeLMA grade rule books, Nelma has incorporated any grade rules previously published by NSLB into their grade rules.

 January 2016 - Package Research Laboratory (PRL) and Canadian Mill Services Association (CMSA) have voluntarily withdrawn their accreditation in the Pellet Program

 May 2015 - The Northeastern Lumber Manufacturers Association (NeLMA) has voluntarily withdrawn their accreditation in the Pellet Program. 

April 2015 - The Board of Review has accredited Export Wood Packaging Inspection Service (EWPI), Lee Inspection & Consulting Services (LIWP), Package Research Laboratory (PRL), Stafford Inspection & Consulting (SIWP), Timber Product Services (TPS), and West Coast Lumber Inspection Bureau (WCLIB) in the WPM Fumigation Program.

January 2013 - American Institute of Timber Construction (AITC) has voluntarily withdrawn its accreditation in the Lumber Program and in the Wood Packaging Material (WPM) Program.

June 2012 - With the submission of a registered logo from the Pellets Fuels Institute, quality mark templates have been distributed to accredited agencies in the Pellet program.  Accredited agencies can now begin third party inspection services to densified fuel mills.  For a list of accredited agencies please click here.

January 2012 - The Board of Review rendered a decision on the SPIB design value submission to change SYP design values.  Interested parties are welcome to request a copy of the minutes of the meeting which includes a summary statement from the Board of Review regarding this item.

 July 2011 - The Board of Review has accredited American Wood Inspections Services (AWIS) in the Lumber Program as an HT Only agency and in the Wood Packaging Material (WPM) Program.

February 2010 -  National Hardwood Lumber Association (NHLA) has voluntarily withdrawn its accreditation in the Wood Packaging Material Program (WPM) and in the Lumber Program as an HT Only agency.

 July 2010 - The Board of Review has accredited the American Institute of Timber Construction (AITC) in the Wood Packaging Material (WPM) Program.

 May 2010 - Fire Tech Services, Inc. (FTS) has voluntarily withdrawn its accreditation in the Wood Packaging Material (WPM) Program.

 April 2010 - The Board of Review accredited Export Wood Packaging Inspection Service (EWPI) and Wood Research and Development (WRD) in the Lumber Program as HT Only agencies.  WRD was also accredited in the Wood Packaging Material (WPM) Program.

 February 2010 - The Board of Review has accredited Export Wood Packaging Inspection Service (EWPI) in the Wood Packaging  Material (WPM) Program

 November 2009 - The Board of Review has accredited Forest Products Inspection, LLC (FP) in the Lumber Program as an HT Only agency and in the Wood Packaging Material (WPM) Program

The Board of Review accredited Ontario Forest Industries Association (OFIA) in the Lumber Program.

 August 2009 - The Board of Review at its meeting of August 27, 2009 withdrew the Forest Products Services, LLC accreditation from  the Wood Packaging Material Program and from the Lumber Program as an HT Only agency.

 April 2009 - The Board of Review has accredited Fire Tech Services, Inc. (FTS) in the Wood Packaging Material program.

 November 2008 - PFS, Inc.(PFS) has voluntarily withdrawn its accreditation in the Treated Wood Program 

 November 2008 - Microforestry Resources, Inc. (MR) has voluntarily withdrawn its accreditation in the Wood Packaging Material Program.

 May 2008 - The Board of Review has accredited the American Institute of Timber Construction (AITC) in the Lumber Program.

 February 2008 - Microforestry Resources Inc. (MR) has voluntarily withdrawn its accreditation in the Lumber Program as an HT Only agency.

 December 2007 - Canadian Softwood Inspection Agency (CSI) has voluntarily withdrawn its accreditation in the Treated Wood Program.

 July 2007 - The Board of Review has accredited Forest Products Services (FPS) in the Lumber Program as an HT Only agency and in the Wood Packaging Material (WPM) Program.

 April 2006 - The Board of Review has accredited Conway & Robison (C&R) in the Lumber Program as an HT Only agency and in the Wood Packaging Material (WPM) Program.

 April 2006 - The Board of Review has accredited Microforestry Resources Inc. (MR) in the Lumber Program as an HT Only agency and in the Wood Packaging Material (WPM) Program.

 December 2005 - The Northeastern Lumber Manufacturer's Association (NeLMA) has voluntarily withdrawn it accreditation in the Treated Wood Program.
